Entries are open to all advertising agencies, design consultancies, digital agencies, direct mail companies, production companies, marketing agencies, PR consultancies, in-house creative teams, in-house marketing teams, media owners and media buying agencies that are based around the globe and can enter international work.

Background

These awards have been running since 2012 and as then, we are now seeking the top talent in out of home to reward them with such titles as: the Grand Prix award, chosen from all of the winning entries and the Chair's Award which goes to the chair of the judge's personal favourite, as well as the individual medium and campaign categories.

We are also advocates of effective and great our of home campaigns within the industry, both tradtional and digital. Who was the most successful in communicating messages via out of home strategies in 2017? We want to celebrate you and shout your names from the rooftops.
 

We only choose credible experienced individuals for our judging panel and who will make sure the awards are a true mark of excellence.

How to enter

Register or log in to this website.
• The website is now on our new multiplatform so if you have previously registered for these awards, you may need to do so again.
• Decide what categories you are going to enter. You may enter as many categories as you like but each must be treated as a separate entry and payment made for each. All information can be found in our entry pack.
• To add an entry, go to the dashboard in the menu at the top of the page and choose ‘My companies’ from the drop down. On the next page, chose or add the company you would like to enter on behalf of and then click 'Add an Entry' from the option.
• Add a short description of no more than 60 words as an overview of the project. In the event your entry is nominated this text will be used on the website to give insight into the project.
• You are also able to acknowledge another agency if the work has been jointly created.
• You will also need to use the entry summary template to write your entry using a maximum of 500 words. Please upload as a PDF document only. 
• Upload hi-res images of your work* (this is important as these images are shown online and during the show if nominated) and any supporting YouTube or Vimeo video URLs.
• In the event of your entry being nominated, images, videos and the summary will be live on the website.
Please note: At least one image must be uploaded (file limit 10MB. Accept jpg, gif or png files). The first image will be used in listings of entries.
• Once you have uploaded all of your entries, go to the dashboard in the menu at the top of the page, chose ‘My Companies’ again from the drop down, chose the company whose entries you wish to pay for. add all to your basket and proceed with payment from there.
• Once payment is processed you will be sent a confirmation email and a receipt will be sent out to you.
• If you would like to make any changes to your entry, please do so before you submit as changes cannot be made after this stage.
All entries must be made by the deadline on Friday 11th August 2017. All entries made after this date will be subject to a 10% late fee.
• Entries and payment should be made online.

Entry Rules

1.       Entries must be live to market at some point between 26th August 2016 and 11th August 2017. Entries do not have to be created within this timescale.

2.       All submissions must be made online. 

3.       Work entered into more than one category must be treated as a completely separate entry.

4.       Multiple entries can be made but separate payment must be made for each. 

5.       All entries must be supplied and conform to category rules/submission formats. 

6.       Entries must be received by no later than midnight on Friday 11th August 2017.

8.       Entries are open to media owners, agencies, brands, publishers and platforms based anywhere in the world who are producing outstanding out of home work. 

9.       The judges reserve the right to re-allocate entries that in their view are entered in an incorrect category. 

10.   The organisers reserve the right to publish/exhibit screen grabs and/or submitted report in relation to the awards. Please note nominated/winning reports may be published on thedrum.com or in The Drum magazine. 

11.   The organisers reserve the right to verify that all entries have been commercially produced for a commercial client where relevant. Proof of publication or transmission may be requested

12.   The judges’ decision is final. All entries submitted must be legal. Any entries containing offensive material will be disqulified. No feedback will be given regarding judges decisions

13. Work entered into more than one category must be treated as a separate entry and a fee will apply. You will only receive the second entry rate discount if you enter all your submissions at once. Otherwise you will be charged the full amount each time. Leave your entries in your basket until you are sure they are all complete.

14. Details that are given at time of entry will be used on all awards material including website, presentation slides and trophy engraving.

15. All entries submitted should conform to the British Codes of Advertising and Sales Promotion. Any entry that has a complaint upheld against it by the ASA will be disqualified.

What to Include in your Entry Summary

• Discuss what the initial brief was from the client and the client’s market position before creative concept was developed
• Provide details on the creative concept
• Discuss how the creative fitted with the client's overall marketing strategy
• Describe how effective the creative was and show results

How Will My Entry Be Judged?

After the entry deadline, the judging panel will be given access to read your submission and view your images and links. The judging panel will be looking for evidence of:

• Evidence of clear strategic thinking

• Innovation

• Tangible results

• Proof of effectiveness

• Creativity

After the panel have carried out their pre-judging, they will meet to discuss the entries and decide on the finalists, commendations and award winners.

How Much Does It Cost To Enter?

£210 + VAT for your first entry
£150 + VAT for each additional entry
 
Entries made after the deadline will be subject to a 10% late fee.

When will nominations be announced?

The nominated entries will be announced at 15:00 on Friday 13th October 2017.
 
You will be notified when nominations go live and of your nominated status. All nominated companies will be shown on the website so please make sure your leading image and spellings are correct.

Category Rules

01. A campaign must be made up of two or more executions.

02. Integrated Campaign - to show how OOH is integrated with other forms of advertising as part of the campaign. Must include at least one form on non OOH advertising.

03. Campaigns must include two or more out of home mediums.
